Active Manipulation of Luminescent Dynamics via Au NPs-CsPbBr3 Interfacial Engineering

Yizhi Zhu et al.

Summary: Manipulating photocarrier dynamics for luminescent materials is of fundamental importance for controlling the luminescent properties of optoelectronic devices. This study demonstrates the enhancement and prolongation of photoluminescence through interfacial engineering, which enables resonant coupling between localized surface plasmon and exciton. The photocarrier dynamics at the interface are mediated by plasmon-induced hot electron transfer (PHET) and plasmon-induced resonant energy transfer (PIRET) processes, which can be actively switched on and off by varying the excitation laser wavelength. These findings are highly significant for actively manipulating photocarrier dynamics in perovskite luminescent devices.

Metal Halide Perovskite Nano/Microwires

Meng Wang et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskite nano/microwires (NMWs) are promising building blocks for next-generation optoelectronic devices due to their well-defined crystal structure, fewer grain boundaries, lower defect concentration, longer photocarrier lifetime, and confined carrier transport. Various synthesis methods have been developed to construct NMW-based optoelectronic devices, but further research is needed to understand the relationship between NMW morphologies and optoelectronic properties for broader applications.

Inhomogeneous Trap-State-Mediated Ultrafast Photocarrier Dynamics in CsPbBr3 Microplates

Yizhi Zhu et al.

Summary: In this study, the trap-state-mediated photocarrier dynamics in defect-rich CsPbBr3 microplates were investigated using ultrafast laser spectroscopy. The research revealed that trap densities in surface and bulk regions are heterogeneous and increase significantly as the thickness decreases. Competitive dynamics of ultrafast photocarrier energy relaxations between surface and bulk regions were studied, showing a polaron-assisted ultrafast energy transfer process across the surface-bulk interface.

Hybrid Plasmonic Surface Lattice Resonance Perovskite Lasers on Silver Nanoparticle Arrays

Zhen-Ting Huang et al.

Summary: The research demonstrates a hybrid plasmonic surface lattice resonance (SLR) laser constructed by a MAPbBr(3) perovskite thin film on an Ag nanoparticle array, with high refractive index of the film leading to high spontaneous emission coupling factor and low threshold lasing. The spin-coating process used to grow the perovskite thin film leaves air gaps underneath, providing a large index difference in the periodic array, beneficial for laser operation. The lasing behaviors of the hybrid plasmonic SLR perovskite laser exhibit excellent characteristics, with fixed polarization, enhancing lasing performance and enabling low-cost, low-energy-consumption laser applications.

Super-regular femtosecond laser nanolithography based on dual-interface plasmons coupling

Hongbo Xie et al.

Summary: Advances in femtosecond laser-material interaction have enabled the development of a hybrid plasmon lithography technique, where near-infrared femtosecond laser pulses are used to create nanograting structures on Si coated with thin Cr films. The unique structures are attributed to the excitation of dual-interface coupled plasmons in the thin metal layer, leading to deep-subwavelength patterns and high aspect ratio grooves. By modifying the structures with wet etching, the resulting V-profiles exhibit near omnidirectional antireflection in the visible range, showing potential for advanced photonic devices.
