Effects of mHealth Interventions on Improving Antenatal Care Visits and Skilled Delivery Care in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Summary: This review summarized the effect of mHealth interventions on improving maternal health care utilization in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The findings showed that mHealth interventions can contribute to improving antenatal care visits, skilled birth attendance, and facility delivery among pregnant women in LMICs. However, more studies are needed to improve reproducibility and efficiency due to the considerable heterogeneity observed in the meta-analyses.
