Quasiparticle Andreev scattering in the nu=1/3 fractional quantum Hall regime

P. Glidic et al.

Summary: In fractional quantum Hall regime, we observe the unconventional behavior of exotic quasiparticles in electrical conduction and scattering. Unlike standard elastic scattering, electrical conduction no longer conserves the nature and number of quasiparticles. The experiment shows the emergence of a mechanism resembling Andreev reflection at a normal-superconductor interface, which advances our understanding of fractional quasiparticles.

Cross-Correlation Investigation of Anyon Statistics in the ?=1/3 and 2/5 Fractional Quantum Hall States

P. Glidic et al.

Summary: Recent works have paved the way for studying anyon braiding statistics by analyzing cross-correlations of negative current in intersecting quasiparticle beams. The anyon exchange phase is found to affect the cross-correlations, measured by the effective Fano factor P, in a setup called collider. We observe negative P values for the e/3 Laughlin quasiparticles at nu = 1/3 (confirming previous findings) and e/5 quasiparticles in the nu = 2/5 hierarchical state. The connection between P and the fractional exchange phase is influenced by the analyzer conductance, making it challenging to establish a quantitative relationship.

Non-Abelian anyon collider

June-Young M. Lee et al.

Summary: A theoretical proposal for a collider for anyons has been reported, which can be used to explore the braiding statistics of various types of anyons. The collider's dominant process involves braiding between injected anyons and an anyon excited at the collider.

Current cross correlations in a quantum Hall collider at filling factor two

Edvin G. Idrisov et al.

Summary: The effects of Coulomb interactions in mesoscopic electron colliders based on quantum Hall edge states at filling factor ?? = 2 are studied using the nonequilibrium bosonization technique. The current cross correlations and Fano factor, which convey information about the exclusion statistics, are calculated. It is found that both quantities show a nonanalytical dependence on the source transparency, scaling as log(1/Ts) for small Ts << 1. This is attributed to electron-electron interactions in the outgoing nonequilibrium states of the collider.

Fractionalization and anyonic statistics in the integer quantum Hall collider

Tom Morel et al.

Summary: One remarkable feature of strongly correlated systems is the phenomenon of fractionalization, where quasiparticles carry only a fraction of the charge or spin of the elementary constituents. This phenomenon is important in the fractional quantum Hall effect. This paper discusses the observation of fractionalization and anyonic statistics in the integer quantum Hall effect coupled to a metallic island. A continuous fractional emitter is proposed, and its full counting statistics of noninteger charges is obtained. The mixing of two fractional beams is characterized through a quantum point contact beam splitter.

Fractional charge and fractional statistics in the quantum Hall effects

D. E. Feldman et al.

Summary: This article discusses the key features of the fractional quantum Hall effect, focusing on quasiparticles with fractional charge and statistics. It provides detailed definitions and methods for observing these properties, along with a review of current experimental status and discussions on non-Abelian statistics. The attempts to find experimental evidence for non-Abelian quasiparticles in certain quantum Hall systems are also explored.
