A novel tool for predicting the survival of endoprosthesis used for reconstruction of the knee following tumor resection: a retrospective cohort study

Cheng-Gang Pang et al.

Summary: This study retrospectively reviewed data from 203 patients who underwent knee reconstruction for tumors and identified significant risk factors associated with implant failure. A novel model was established to predict prosthetic survival, showing favorable discrimination ability and accuracy. The length of resection, anatomical location of tumor, and length of prosthetic stem were found to be significantly associated with prosthetic survival.
