Squeezed flow of polyethylene glycol and water based hybrid nanofluid over a magnetized sensor surface: A statistical approach

M. Jayachandra Babu et al.

Summary: Hybrid liquids have better energy transportation properties compared to mono-fluids and find applications in areas like military equipment and solar collectors. This study compares the dynamics of chemically reactive polyethylene glycol and water-zirconia nanofluid and polyethylene glycol and water-zirconia-magnesium oxide hybrid nanofluid over a permeable sensor surface. The results show that the squeezed flow index parameter reduces fluid temperature and velocity, and an increase in this parameter leads to a decrease in surface drag force. There is also a positive relationship between chemical reaction and Schmidt number parameters with mass transmission rate, and the magnetic field improves fluid velocity while decreasing heat transfer rate.

Thermal improvement of linear Fresnel solar system utilizing Al2O3-water nanofluid and multi-way twisted tape

M. Sheikholeslami et al.

Summary: In this study, the thermal treatment of Linear Fresnel Reflector (LFR) unit was enhanced by the application of multi-way twisted tape (MWTT). Finite volume simulations were used to predict the flow and thermal performance, and SolTrace and ANSYS FLUET were used to extract the distribution of absorb flux. The results showed that the rotation, width, and number of wings of the twisted tape significantly affected the fluid flow and thermal efficiency.

Hydrothermal analysis for a parabolic solar unit with wavy absorber pipe and nanofluid

M. Sheikholeslami et al.

Summary: This article presents a numerical simulation for the thermal analysis of a parabolic trough collector (PTC) with a wavy absorber tube using the finite volume method. The study investigates the performance of a new wavy absorber tube in a solar system with a parabolic reflector. The results show that increasing the Reynolds number (Re) and the volume concentration can improve the heat transfer efficiency.

Qaisar Khan et al.

Summary: The flow-through stretchable inclined configuration has numerous applications in various engineering and industrial processes. This study investigates the heat transport features of squeezed Powell-Eyring fluid passing through the impermeable inclined sheet, taking into account mixed convection phenomenon and employing the Cattaneo-Christov generalized theories. The analysis also includes the characteristics of thermal and solutal stratifications in heat and mass transportations.

Numerical investigation of a squeezing flow between concentric cylinders under the variable magnetic field of intensity

Shabnam et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat and mass transfer phenomena of squeezing flow between two concentric cylinders under the influence of heat sources and magnetic fields. The results show that the heat source affects the liquid temperature profile, while the concentration profile exhibits an inverse relationship. The Soret number also has an impact on the concentration profile.

Influence of novel turbulator on efficiency of solar collector system

M. Sheikholeslami et al.

Summary: This article introduces a method to improve the efficiency of solar energy systems by using hybrid nanomaterials and special shape of turbulator in the pipe. The study found that inserting turbulator can increase radial velocity, disrupt isotherms, and enhance convective flow. Experimental results demonstrate the improvement of the performance of solar energy systems with this approach.

MHD micropolar nanofluid with non Fourier and non Fick's law

S. M. Atif et al.

Summary: This study investigates the magnetohydrodynamic micropolar nanofluid past a stretching sheet using non-Fourier and non-Fick's models, showing the impact of various parameters on dimensionless profiles. The analysis includes viscous dissipation, thermal radiation, and Ohmic heating, with solutions obtained through similarity transformations and shooting approach. The simulations indicate that the concentration relaxation parameter decreases the energy and concentration profiles.
