Days alive and at home after hip fracture: a cross-sectional validation of a patient-centred outcome measure using routinely collected data

Daniel I. McIsaac et al.

Summary: This study assessed the validity and minimally important difference (MID) of days alive and at home (DAH) as a patient-centered outcome measure after hip fracture admission. The results showed that DAH has face, construct, and predictive validity in patients with hip fracture, with an estimated MID of 11 days. Further research is needed to confirm the MID using direct patient perspectives.
