Histopathological and immunohistochemical profiles of pulp tissues in immature dogs' teeth to two recently introduced pulpotomy materials

Mai Mohamed et al.

Summary: This study compared the pulpal response of Hoffmann's Pulpine mineral (PMIN) and Pulpine NE (PNE) to mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) when used as pulpotomy materials in immature permanent teeth. The results showed that PMIN is a promising alternative to MTA.

The effect of changing apical foramen diameter on regenerative potential of mature teeth with necrotic pulp and apical periodontitis

Hisham M. Abada et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the regenerative potential of permanent necrotic mature teeth with different apical foramen diameters compared to conventional endodontic treatment. Results showed that increasing the apical size diameter was associated with less inflammatory cell count, less bone resorption, more tissue ingrowth, and more percentage of new hard tissue formation inside the root canal. The minimum apical diameter that should be enlarged for regenerative endodontic therapy is 0.4 mm.

In Vivo Efficacy of Diode Laser as a Monotherapy in Root Canal Disinfection: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Ali Azhar Dawasaz

Summary: Although diode laser treatment showed statistically significant reduction of microorganisms in root canal disinfection, the limited number of reported randomized clinical trials with small sample sizes and high heterogeneity provide insufficient support toward its efficacy. More high-quality studies are needed to confirm the effectiveness of laser monotherapy for infected root canals.
