Effect of Temperature on the Electrical and Current Transport Properties of Au/Nd2O3/n-GaN Metal/Interlayer/Semiconductor (MIS) Junction

Summary: The electrical properties of Au/Nd2O3/n-type GaN metal/interlayer/semiconductor (MIS) junctions were investigated over a wide temperature range of 150-400 K. An anomalous decrease in barrier height and increase in ideality factor was observed with decreasing temperature. The anomalies were attributed to barrier inhomogeneities at the MIS junction interface, assuming a double Gaussian distribution of barrier heights in different temperature ranges.

Lattice Dynamics and Structural Phase Transitions in Eu2O3

Summary: Using density functional theory, the structural and lattice dynamical properties of europium sesquioxide (Eu2O3) in various phases were studied and compared with experimental data. The phonon density of states in the cubic structure was analyzed and compared with nuclear inelastic scattering data, showing a slight shift in the experimental spectrum due to compressive strain induced by the substrate. Based on lattice and phonon properties, the mechanisms of structural transitions between different phases of Eu2O3 were examined.
