Analysis of entropy generation and Joule heating on curvilinear flow of thermally radiative viscous fluid due to an oscillation of curved Riga surface

M. Naveed et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the heat transfer and entropy generation phenomena on time-dependent electro-magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of viscous fluid past a curved oscillatory stretchable surface. The effects of thermal radiation and Joule heating are considered. The flow model is developed using curvilinear coordinates system and the homotopy analysis method. Various parameters are examined and their impacts on entropy generation, Bejan number, temperature and flow equations are studied. The results are presented through graphs and tables, showing that entropy generation is enhanced with an increase in curvature radius and Brinkman number, while the modified magnetic parameter leads to an increase in the amplitude of velocity distribution.

Soret and Dufour effects on unsteady MHD second-grade nanofluid flow across an exponentially stretching surface

Imran Siddique et al.

Summary: This study investigates the unsteady energy and mass transport of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) second grade nanofluid via an exponentially extending surface with Dufour and Soret effects. Variable thermal conductivity and mixed convection effects are used to study the heat transfer mechanism. The results show that the fluid with variable thermal conductivity exhibits significantly different and realistic characteristics.

Numerical simulation of a thermally enhanced EMHD flow of a heterogeneous micropolar mixture comprising (60%)-ethylene glycol (EG), (40%)-water (W), and copper oxide nanomaterials (CuO)

Nehad Ali Shah et al.

Summary: In this study, the hydro-thermal and mass transport characteristics of a non-homogeneous micropolar mixture were numerically analyzed. The results showed that the micropolarity and electrically conducting properties of the nanofluid play a significant role in enhancing its motion. Furthermore, it was observed that the thermophoresis diffusive mechanism can be further enhanced by the presence of an internal heat source in the convective heating process.

Numerical Solution of Magnetized Williamson Nanofluid Flow over an Exponentially Stretching Permeable Surface with Temperature Dependent Viscosity and Thermal Conductivity

Muhammad Amjad et al.

Summary: This research investigates Williamson nanofluid flow over an exponentially stretching permeable vertical plate with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and viscosity. Numerical solutions and graphical representations show that increasing values of the magnetic parameter M, Williamson parameter lambda, and viscosity parameter alpha lead to a decrease in boundary layer thickness of the velocity profile and an increase in the temperature profile.

Impact of Equally Diffusive Chemical Reaction on Time-Dependent Flow of Casson Nanofluid Due to Oscillatory Curved Stretching Surface with Thermal Radiation

Z. Abbas et al.

Summary: This research investigates the effect of heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical processes on time-dependent boundary layer flow of Casson nanofluid on a stretchable curved oscillating surface in the presence of a magnetic field. The results show that an increase in the radius of curvature and Casson fluid parameter decreases the magnitude of the skin friction coefficient, while an increase in the magnetic parameter and the ratio of the surface oscillating frequency to its stretchable rate parameter increases the magnitude of the skin friction coefficient.

Flow of Eyring-Powell liquid due to oscillatory stretchable curved sheet with modified Fourier and Fick's model

M. Imran et al.

Summary: This study investigates the mass and heat transport mechanism of Eyring-Powell liquid in the time-dependent magnetohydrodynamic flow across an oscillatory stretchable curved sheet using a modified version of Fourier and Fick's model known as the Cattaneo-Christov double diffusive theory. The obtained flow equations are transformed into nonlinear PDEs and solved using the homotopy analysis method. The results show that the amplitude of the pressure distribution increases for high values of the Eyring-Powell parameter.

Curvilinear flow of micropolar fluid with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model due to oscillation of curved stretchable sheet

Muhammad Naveed et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the transfer of heat phenomenon in a hydromagnetic time-dependent flow of micropolar fluid across an oscillating stretchable curved surface using the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model. The flow equations are derived as nonlinear partial differential equations and solved analytically. The accuracy of the results is examined using the Keller box method and shown to be in strong agreement. The influences of various physical characteristics are depicted in detail with graphs and tables, and a tabular comparison with published data in the literature shows good agreement.

Impact of Joule heating and melting on time-dependent flow of nanoparticles due to an oscillatory stretchable curved wall

M. Imran et al.

Summary: This article investigates the heat transport mechanism of nanoparticles in a magnetic flow on an oscillating curved surface, taking into account Joule heating effects, melting heat transfer, and heat generation impacts. A mathematical formulation is established using partial differential equations in curvilinear coordinate systems, and the series solution is obtained using the Homotopy analysis method. The effects of various flow parameters on temperature and pressure fields are analyzed through parametric analysis and displayed graphically, showing good agreement with reported data for flat oscillating surfaces in the literature.
