Changes in Elements and Relationships among Elements in Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

Rafal Staszkiewicz et al.

Summary: This study revealed significant differences in the concentrations of potassium, copper, and iron in degenerated intervertebral discs compared to healthy discs. The concentrations of copper and iron were found to be dependent on the radiological advancement of the lesions, while the concentration of potassium was related to the degree of pain intensity.
