High-frequency electrical properties tomography at 9.4T as a novel contrast mechanism for brain tumors

Summary: High-frequency magnetic resonance electrical properties tomography (MREPT) was established as a novel contrast mechanism for evaluating glioblastomas in a rat brain tumor model. The study found that the conductivity of tumor regions increased over time, while the mean diffusivity did not change. A positive correlation was observed between conductivity and mean diffusivity values for the tumor rim and viable tumor, while a negative correlation was seen for the tumor core.
