Hand Gesture and Arm Movement Recognition for Multimodal Control of a 3-DOF Helicopter

Ricardo Romero et al.

Summary: This paper presents a method of using hand gestures and arm movements to control a dual rotor testbench. The recognition system can classify different hand gestures for switching flight modes and generating set point values for the helicopter. Experimental results show fast and accurate response using hand gesture recognition and arm movement for controlling the testbench.
