Ketoconazole loaded quaternized chitosan nanoparticles-PVA film: preparation and evaluation

Priya Dhiman et al.

Summary: In this study, ketoconazole, an antifungal drug, was encapsulated in quaternized chitosan nanoparticles. The quaternization of chitosan was confirmed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The KCZ-QCSNPs were characterized using various techniques, and their antimicrobial activities were evaluated.

Chemical Profiling and Antimicrobial Properties of Honey Bee (Apis mellifera L.) Venom

Irina Tanuwidjaja et al.

Summary: The study found that honey bee venom exhibited high antibacterial activity against a broad spectrum of potentially pathogenic bacteria, with efficiency comparable to conventional antibiotics in certain cases. This suggests the therapeutic potential of honey bee venom as an alternative antimicrobial compound in combating antibiotic resistance.
