Laser Cooling with an Intermediate State and Electronic Structure Studies of the Molecules CaCs and CaNa

Amal Moussa et al.

Summary: The ground and excited electronic states of diatomic molecules CaCs and CaNa have been investigated using ab initio calculations. The study determined potential energy curves, spectroscopic constants, dipole moments, dissociation energy, vibrational constants, and transition properties for the molecules. The results can serve as a valuable reference for experimental spectroscopic and ultra-cold molecular physics studies.

Spectroscopy on the A1Π ← X1Σ+ transition of buffer-gas-cooled AlCl

John R. Daniel et al.

Summary: Aluminum monochloride (AlCl) is proposed as an excellent candidate for laser cooling, with absorption spectroscopy measurements and high-level ab initio calculations providing a comprehensive view of its quantum structure. The combination of high-resolution spectral data and theory enables the evaluation of spectroscopic constants and properties with increased precision. Based on measured molecular equilibrium constants, a Franck-Condon factor of 99.88% for the A(1)Pi <- X-1 Sigma(+) transition confirms the suitability of AlCl for laser cooling.

Laser cooling and electronic structure studies of CaK and its ions CaK±

Amal Moussa et al.

Summary: This study investigates the electronic structure, potential energy curves, dipole moments, and spectroscopic constants of the diatomic molecule CaK and its molecular ions using computational methods. The results suggest that CaK is a suitable candidate for Doppler laser cooling, with proposed cooling scheme and low temperature limits. These findings provide valuable reference for experimental spectroscopic and ultra-cold molecular physics studies.
