Outcomes and risk factors for ab interno trabeculotomy with a Kahook Dual Blade

Natsumi Murata et al.

Summary: The study verified the surgical results and risk factors of ab interno trabeculotomy using a Kahook Dual Blade (KDB-LOT) for different glaucoma types. The results showed that KDB-LOT was effective in treating various glaucoma types but had difficulty achieving intraocular pressure (IOP) below 15 mmHg. Age and KDB-LOT with phacoemulsification were identified as good prognostic factors, while previous cataract surgery, selective laser trabeculoplasty, and postoperative peripheral anterior synechiae were identified as risk factors for surgical failure.
