Thermal convection in nanofluids for peristaltic flow in a nonuniform channel

Sharifah E. Alhazmi et al.

Summary: The study presents a comprehensive mathematical model for the flow of couple stress nanofluid with double diffusive convection in a peristaltic-induced flow through a symmetric nonuniform channel. The effects of various crucial flow parameters on the pressure gradient, nanoparticle volume fraction, solutal concentration, temperature, and velocity distribution are analyzed computationally using graphical illustrations. The results show that temperature profile is significantly influenced by Brownian motion, thermophoresis, and Dufour effect, while velocity distribution is affected by strong magnetic field and increasing non-uniformity of the micro channel.

Mathematical analysis of hybrid mediated blood flow in stenosis narrow arteries

Azad Hussain et al.

Summary: This paper studies the behavior of blood flow under stenosis assumptions using Ag and Cu nanoparticles as the base fluid. The governing equations are modeled as PDEs and transformed into a set of ODEs using a useful similarity transformation. Numerical solutions are obtained for various parameters, and the results are presented in tables and graphs. It is found that increasing the concentration of nanoparticles increases blood velocity and decreases temperature. Additionally, the results show that increasing the flow parameter gamma leads to an increase in velocity.

Fractional order model for thermochemical flow of blood with Dufour and Soret effects under magnetic and vibration environment

Subrata Maiti et al.

Summary: The study investigates the impact of Caputo-Fabrizio fractional-order model on blood flow in a porous tube under magnetic and vibration modes. Blood, modeled as a biviscosity non-Newtonian fluid with thermal radiation and chemical reaction properties, shows decreased velocity and temperature with increasing fractional-order parameter. Permeability of the blood flow medium impedes fast fluid movement, while chemical reactions increase wall shear stress. The Dufour effect leads to an increase in Nusselt number.
