Heat and mass transfer analysis of radiative fluid flow under the influence of uniform horizontal magnetic field and thermophoretic particle deposition

B. C. Prasannakumara et al.

Summary: This study examines the effect of thermophoretic particle deposition on liquid flow across a rotating disk using a horizontal magnetic field to regularize the flow field. The energy equation when exposed to thermal radiation is also investigated. Numerical solutions show that an increase in magnetic parameter decreases both axial and radial velocity profiles, while an increase in thermophoretic parameters and coefficient reduces mass transport.

Bioconvection in radiative Glauert wall jet flow of nanofluid: a Buongiorno model

M. D. Alsulami et al.

Summary: This study investigates the laminar Glauert wall jet flow in the presence of bioconvection, slip and suction using the Buongiorno model. The results show that increasing values of Brownian motion, radiation, and thermophoresis parameters enhance the thermal profile, while increasing values of concentration difference and bioconvection Peclet numbers decay the microorganism profile. The rate of heat transfer decreases with increasing thermophoresis parameter and increases with higher radiation parameter.

Summary: This article investigates the convective boundary layer flow of ternary hybrid nanofluid (water-based graphene-CNT-Silver) over a curved stretching sheet with activation energy, considering the non-Fourier heat flux model. The results reveal the influence of various parameters on thermal, concentration, and velocity profiles. The heat transport in ternary hybrid nanoliquid increases with higher thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters, while the Biot number positively affects the thermal profile and the Schmidt number and Stefan blowing parameter values reduce mass transport.

Summary: This study investigates the flow of incompressible electrically conducting Casson-Maxwell fluid confined between two uniformly stretchable disks, implementing the Buongiorno nanofluid model. The study examines the effects of physical parameters on velocity, thermal, and concentration fields through numerical solutions. The findings show that different parameters have varying degrees of influence on the flow characteristics, with the Maxwell liquid being more sensitive to Lorentz force compared to Casson liquid.

Summary: This study focuses on the rheological properties of nanofluids using the Koo-Kleinstreuer-Li model. The numerical results show that increasing the radiation parameter improves the thermal profile, while increasing the Biot number enhances the thermal boundary layer region. Additionally, an increase in the space-dependent internal heat sink/source parameter deteriorates the rate of heat transfer.

Summary: This study discusses the thermophoresis particle deposition effects of magneto-Walter's B nanofluid induced by a stretched surface under the action of pressure and buoyant forces, utilizing the Buongiorno nanofluid model. The analysis incorporates chemical reaction, Joule heating, and non-linear radiation relations, with the results showing that the heat thermal Biot number, thermophoretic constant, and viscoelastic parameter increase the nanofluid temperature and concentration while a decaying concentration profile is observed for the Schmidt number.

S. E. Ghasemi et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influences of solar radiation on two-dimensional stagnation point flow of nanofluid over a stretching sheet, considering the effect of magnetic field and thermal radiation. Numerical results demonstrate the method's accuracy, convergence, and potential. It is found that temperature and thermal boundary layer thickness are increasing functions of Biot number, and that higher Brownian motion parameter values result in greater temperature values and thicker thermal boundary layer.
