Comparative Study of Sonophotocatalytic, Photocatalytic, and Catalytic Activities of Magnesium and Chitosan-Doped Tin Oxide Quantum Dots

Summary: The present study demonstrates the hydrothermal synthesis of SnO2 quantum dots doped with different concentrations of magnesium and chitosan. The results show that the incorporation of dopants leads to changes in the crystal size and band gap energy of SnO2 quantum dots, as well as the formation of nanorod-like structures and agglomeration. Moreover, the prepared nanocatalyst exhibits good performance in dye degradation.

Summary: In this study, aluminum/starch-doped CaO nanoparticles were synthesized and their influence on the composition, crystal structure, optical characteristics, and morphology of CaO nanoparticles was investigated. The results showed that the doping of Al and St reduced the band gap energy and enhanced the catalytic potential of CaO nanoparticles.
