Melt refining and purification processes in Al alloys: a comprehensive study

Jianxin Wu et al.

Summary: Aluminum and its alloys are widely used metallic materials, but the purification process faces various challenges. Purification methods include fluxing, floatation, and filtration, and the best method is chosen based on impurity type and purification level. With industrial development, more cost-effective and simpler methods are needed, along with recycling of large volumes of scrap aluminum parts. Achieving high-purity melt is also crucial for specific applications.
