Summary: This study examined the histopathologic features and postoperative prognosis of two IPNB subclassifications, finding that lymph node metastasis and bile duct margin status were independent prognostic factors. MUC6 expression had a marginal influence on prognosis prediction. Patients with D-CIS showed a significantly poorer prognosis compared to those with negative bile duct margins.
