Improvement for engineering applications through a dissipative Carreau nanofluid fluid flow due to a nonlinearly stretching sheet with thermal radiation

Mohammed Alrehili

Summary: This study performs a numerical analysis on the cooling process using a model of nanofluid flow and heat transfer in a porous medium with thermal radiation and viscous dissipation. Ordinary differential equations are solved using the shooting technique, and the influence of various parameters on cooling efficiency is investigated. Graphical analysis is conducted to examine the behavior of variables. The numerical results are validated through comparisons with previously published data.

Development for Cooling Operations through a Model of Nanofluid Flow with Variable Heat Flux and Thermal Radiation

Mohammed Alrehili

Summary: This article discusses the flow characteristics of a non-Newtonian nanoliquid across a stretching radiative nonlinear sheet under variable heat flux. The effects of changing thermal conductivity, Brownian motion, and thermophoresis on nanoparticle modeling are analyzed. The coupled highly nonlinear ordinary differential equations governing velocity, temperature, and nanoparticles concentration are numerically solved, and the results show an increase in local Sherwood number, local Nusselt number, and skin friction coefficient as the power law index increases.

Radiative MHD Nanofluid Flow Due to a Linearly Stretching Sheet with Convective Heating and Viscous Dissipation

Haifaa Alrihieli et al.

Summary: This article discusses the two-dimensional steady laminar boundary layer flow and heat mass transfer caused by a non-Newtonian nanofluid due to a horizontally stretching sheet. By considering various non-dimensional parameters, including convective boundary condition, slip velocity, Brownian motion, thermophoresis and viscous dissipation, numerical values for dimensionless velocity, temperature and nanoparticle concentration are obtained. The distributions of these variables are plotted against important governing factors, and local skin-friction coefficient, Sherwood number and Nusselt number are discussed to further explain the problem.

Nourhan Ghoneim et al.

Summary: Thermal radiative heat transfer through a thin horizontal liquid film of a Newtonian nanofluid subjected to a magnetic field is considered. It is shown that large values of the thermal radiation heat transfer rate, thermal conductivity parameter, and the Brownian motion parameter can enhance the cooling of the sheet.

Summary: This study investigates the non-Newtonian Casson thin film flow of an electrically conducting fluid on a horizontal elastic sheet. The results show that the magnetic and slip velocity parameters have significant impacts on the development of the liquid film thickness, while the unsteadiness parameter affects the velocity and concentration distributions in the thin film layer.

Numerical Simulation of Williamson Nanofluid Flow over an Inclined Surface: Keller Box Analysis

Khuram Rafique et al.

Summary: The study examines the impact of heat generation/absorption and chemical reaction on magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flow of Williamson nanofluid over an inclined stretching surface, numerically investigating the effects of Williamson factor on velocity field. Results show that energy and species exchange decrease with rising magnetic field values, increasing the chemical reaction parameter raises the Nusselt number and lowers skin friction, the Lewis parameter decreases energy transport rate, increasing inclination enhances skin friction while decreasing energy and species transport rate. These findings are in agreement with earlier studies as demonstrated through numerical computations.

Ahmed M. Megahed

Summary: The research focuses on the theoretical analysis of MHD steady flow of non-Newtonian Maxwell fluid due to a stretching sheet in a porous medium with convective boundary condition. Internal heat generation, viscous dissipation, variable conductivity, and variable viscosity processes are examined for their effects on temperature distribution. By introducing similar solution and utilizing a numerical method, the study sheds light on the impact of controlling parameters on fluid flow, with discussions on local skin-friction coefficient and local Nusselt number for a comprehensive explanation of the problem.

Slip Effects on MHD Squeezing Flow of Jeffrey Nanofluid in Horizontal Channel with Chemical Reaction

Nur Azlina Mat Noor et al.

Summary: This study examines the heat and mass transfer characteristics in hydromagnetic squeeze flow of Jeffrey nanofluid between two plates over a permeable medium considering slip condition, viscous dissipation, and chemical reaction. It implements Buongiorno's nanofluid model, including Brownian motion and thermophoresis impacts, and transforms governing partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations via similarity transformation. The results show that squeezing plates accelerates velocity and wall shear stress, while the velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles decrease with an increase in Hartmann number and ratio of relaxation and retardation times. Additionally, thermophoresis and viscous dissipation increase temperature distribution and heat transfer rate, while mass transfer rate decreases due to strong Brownian motion but increases with the addition of chemical reaction and thermophoresis.
