3,4,5-Trihydroxycinnamic acid exerts anti-inflammatory effects on TNF-α/IFN-γ-stimulated HaCaT cells

Ji-Won Park et al.

Summary: The study showed that 3,4,5-Trihydroxycinnamic acid (THCA) exhibits anti-inflammatory activity by reducing secretion and mRNA expression of inflammatory factors in human keratinocyte cells, and inhibiting the activation of AKT, ERK, and NF-κB signaling pathways. Additionally, THCA upregulated the expression of antioxidant enzymes and activated the Nrf2 pathway, indicating its potential as an anti-inflammatory agent in activated keratinocyte cells.
