Temperature- and solvent-induced reversible single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformations of TbIII-based MOFs with excellent stabilities and fluorescence sensing properties toward drug molecules

Yu Li et al.

Summary: Recently, single-crystal-to-single-crystal conversion has become a hot topic in the field of metal-organic framework (MOF) materials. A new Tb-III-based MOF material (JXUST-12) has been synthesized by incorporating Tb-III ions and H4BTDI ligands, featuring a fluorescent unit. This material exhibits reversible single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformation, leading to enhanced water and pH stabilities. With the presence of Tb-III ions and fluorescent organic ligands, JXUST-12 can be used as a luminescent sensor for detecting drugs.
