Penile involvement of immunoglobulin a vasculitis/Henoch-Schonlein purpura

Summary: Two cases of IgAV/HSP with penile involvement were reported, with one patient recovering completely without treatment and the other showing improvement with corticosteroid treatment. Literature review showed diverse manifestations of penile lesions, which could occur before the purpuric rash. Patients generally achieved complete recovery in the short term.

Validation of a Clinical Decision Rule to Predict Abuse in Young Children Based on Bruising Characteristics

Summary: This study aimed to refine and validate a bruising clinical decision rule for identifying children at risk of physical abuse. The results showed that any positive finding for the components of TEN-4-FACESp in children under 4 years old indicated a potential risk for abuse, suggesting the importance of further evaluation and potential improvement in recognizing abuse in young children with bruising.
