Optimal endometrial thickness in fresh and frozen-thaw in vitro fertilization cycles: an analysis of live birth rates from 96,000 autologous embryo transfers

Neal Mahutte et al.

Summary: The thickness of the endometrium has a significant impact on live birth rates in fresh and frozen-thaw embryo transfer cycles. In fresh cycles, increasing endometrial thickness can improve live birth rates until it reaches 10-12 mm, while in frozen cycles, live birth rates plateau after the endometrium measures 7-10 mm. Endometrial thickness below 6 mm is clearly associated with a dramatic reduction in live birth rates.

Preterm birth after recurrent pregnancy loss: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Clara Q. Wu et al.

Summary: This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the impact of recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) on the risk of preterm birth (PTB) in subsequent pregnancies. The results showed that women with a history of RPL had significantly higher odds of delivering preterm infants in subsequent pregnancies, and the risk of PTB increased with the number of pregnancy losses.

Toward more accurate prediction of future pregnancy outcome in couples with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss: taking both partners into account

Nadia A. du Fosse et al.

Summary: In addition to maternal age and the number of previous pregnancy losses, factors such as paternal age, body mass index, and smoking status were found to have predictive value for subsequent ongoing pregnancy in couples with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss. The study showed that the current predictive model still has limited ability, indicating the need for further research to develop a more accurate model for clinical use.

ART in Europe, 2018: results generated from European registries by ESHRE†

C. Wyns et al.

Summary: The 22nd ESHRE report highlights the increasing numbers of ART treatment cycles and livebirths in Europe, a decrease in transfers with more than one embryo, and a reduction in twin delivery rates. Additionally, higher pregnancy rates were observed after frozen embryo transfer compared to fresh IVF or ICSI cycles.

Leave the past behind: women' reproductive history shows no association with blastocysts' euploidy and limited association with live birth rates after euploid embryo transfers

Danilo Cimadomo et al.

Summary: The study found no association between patients' reproductive history and the mean euploidy rates per biopsied blastocysts, but reported a lower live birth rate after euploid blastocyst transfer in women with a history of repeated implantation failure. The clinical outcomes of the first single vitrified-warmed euploid blastocyst transfer showed an implantation rate of 51%, a miscarriage rate of 14%, and a live birth rate of 44%.

Miscarriage matters: the epidemiological, physical, psychological, and economic costs of early pregnancy loss

Siobhan Quenby et al.

Summary: Miscarriage, characterized by the loss of a pregnancy before viability, has a significant global impact with a high occurrence rate and various risk factors. It can result in both physical and psychological consequences for individuals, highlighting the importance of providing mental health support and specialized obstetric care for women who have experienced miscarriage.

Xin-Nan Zong et al.

Summary: A study developed neonatal growth standards based on a large sample of low-risk pregnancies, including six anthropometric indicators, providing more tools for growth and nutrition assessment in neonatal clinical practice. These standards can be used for growth, nutrition assessment, and body proportionality, showing differences between growth curves based on low-risk and mixed low- and high-risk pregnancies.
