Numerical simulations of the failure process of anaclinal slope physical model and control mechanism of negative Poisson's ratio cable

Chun Zhu et al.

Summary: Researchers have established a numerical model and developed a numerical simulation model of NPR cables to simulate the slope failure process and the impact of cables on deformation. The numerical results show that NPR cables can absorb deformation energy and maintain stable resistance, preventing slope instability and driving the slope towards a new equilibrium state.

Numerical simulation of the dynamic responses and damage of underground cavern under multiple explosion sources

Guangyong Wang et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the dynamic responses and damage of underground cavern using the LS-DYNA3D finite element software, revealing the propagation law of blast-induced wave, mechanism of crack formation, and displacement distribution characteristics of surrounding rock. Differences were found in the effects on surrounding rock between multiple explosion sources and single explosion sources, and it was observed that rock bolt reinforcement can significantly reduce peak displacement of the cavern and improve blast resistant performance of the surrounding rock.

Failure mechanism and control technology of large deformation for Muzhailing Tunnel in stratified rock masses

Xiaoming Sun et al.

Summary: The case study in the Muzhailing Tunnel explored the failure mechanism and control technology of deep tunnels in soft rock with high in situ stresses. By proposing a new support scheme with high constant resistance anchor cables, the large deformation of the tunnel was effectively controlled. The results provide useful references for support design in deep underground engineering.
