Lubrication-enhanced mechanisms of titanium alloy grinding using lecithin biolubricant

Dongzhou Jia et al.

Summary: The effects of lecithin on the electrophysiological properties of biolubricant were investigated, and the influence of lecithin mixing ratio on grinding performance was discussed. The experimental results demonstrate that lecithin can improve the conductivity, viscosity, and surface tension of biolubricant, leading to enhanced grinding performance.

A novel low temperature and green salt bath nitriding of titanium alloy

Yan Song Zhu et al.

Summary: The addition of K2SO4 in the salt bath nitriding process of TC4 titanium alloy can greatly improve the surface hardness and tribological properties. There is an optimal value for the addition of K2SO4, around 1 wt-%, which effectively inhibits cyanide production and further enhances the tribological properties by improving the hardness in the nitride layer subsurface.
