R. N. Singh et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the spatio-temporal trends and variability of seasonal and annual rainfall in 36 districts of Maharashtra, India, using IMD rainfall data from 1901 to 2018. The study found decreasing trends in winter and pre-monsoon rainfall, with monsoon, post-monsoon, and annual rainfall showing both increasing and decreasing trends. Additionally, rainfall variability was found to be high in all districts during winter, pre-monsoon, and post-monsoon seasons. The analysis and maps of rainfall trends and variability can be useful for local stakeholders in planning efficient water resource management.
