Establishing a New International Standard for Natural Dyed Textile Goods [Natural Organic Dye Standard (NODS)]

Summary: Environmental awareness has grown in importance among individuals and societies in recent years. This has led to the increasing significance of reintroducing natural dyes in the textile industries. However, there is currently no standard for textiles colored with natural dyes. Therefore, a Natural Organic Dye Standard (NODS) is required, similar to other existing certificates like GOTS and OECO-TEX.

Extraction and Natural Cotton Dyeing of Valonia Oak and Anatolian Buckthorn by Microwave Irradiation

Summary: In this study, organic cotton fabrics were dyed using microwave irradiation and conventional dyeing methods. The dyed fabrics were analyzed using various analytical and technical methods. The results showed that the microwave irradiation method is a suitable and efficient approach for dyeing organic cotton fabrics, providing good coloristic properties, time savings, and cost effectiveness.

Investigation of the effect of laser technology on the colouring and patterning possibilities in polyacrylonitrile socks

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of laser treatment on the dye uptake and fastness of acrylic socks. The findings revealed that laser treatment had minimal effect on the dye uptake of the fibers, although the treated samples appeared slightly lighter in color compared to the untreated samples. It was also observed that higher resolutions caused fabric melting and damage, while lower resolutions had no effect. Additionally, laser treatment at specific resolutions and pixel times could create patterns with different shades of the same color on the socks.

Identification of pigments used in a Qajar manuscript from Iran by using atomic and molecular spectroscopy and technical photography methods

Examination of Dyeing Properties on Silk of Some Flavonoids by Spectroscopic Techniques
