Highly sensitive electrochemical aptasensor for SARS-CoV-2 antigen detection based on aptamer-binding induced multiple hairpin assembly signal amplification

Jian Xue et al.

Summary: In this study, a brief electrochemical aptasensor was developed for highly sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen. The sensor utilized an aptamer-binding induced multiple hairpin assembly strategy for signal amplification. The results showed that this sensor could be used for on-site analysis of viral diseases at ambient temperature.

Ratiometric Electrochemical Biosensor for the Sensitive Determination of DNA by a Hairpin DNA Probe

Haixia Wang et al.

Summary: A novel biosensor for nucleic acid detection based on ratiometric signal detection using the oxidation peak current ratio between ferrocene and methylene blue has been developed, showing high stability, good selectivity, and improved specificity. This biosensor demonstrated a linear relationship between the ratio of I-Fc/I-MB and DNA concentration, with a high sensitivity and low detection limit. Additionally, the biosensor exhibited good selectivity by identifying single-base mismatch targets, indicating great potential for applications in nucleic acid detection and medical clinical diagnosis.
