Highly efficient dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction assisted by magnetic porous carbon composite-based dispersive micro solid-phase extraction for determination of tramadol and methadone in urine samples by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

Monireh Isazad et al.

Summary: This study developed a rapid and efficient method for the extraction and preconcentration of tramadol and methadone in urine samples using a combination of magnetic solid-phase extraction and air-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction. The developed system showed excellent enrichment factors and extraction recoveries, and the results were in good agreement with those of the official HPLC/MS-MS technique.

A novel and facile green synthesis method to prepare LDH/MOF nanocomposite for removal of Cd(II) and Pb(II)

Roozbeh Soltani et al.

Summary: A novel carboxylic acid-functionalized layered double hydroxide/metal-organic framework nanocomposite was developed as a potential adsorbent for the removal of toxic Cd(II) and Pb(II) from water. The synthesized nanocomposite showed high adsorption capacities for both Cd(II) and Pb(II) based on Langmuir model.

Magnetic zinc based 2D-metal organic framework as an efficient adsorbent for simultaneous determination of fluoroquinolones using 3D printed microchip and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry

Nafiseh Bagheri et al.

Summary: The 2D metal-organic framework (MOF) proved to be an efficient adsorbent for simultaneous extraction of fluoroquinolones (FQs). The use of acetic acid solution for elution showed high recovery without the need for toxic organic solvents. The method demonstrated great selectivity and sensitivity in detecting OF, NOR, and CIP in milk samples.

Synthesis of hierarchical micro-mesoporous LDH/MOF nanocomposite with in situ growth of UiO-66-(NH2)2 MOF on the functionalized NiCo-LDH ultrathin sheets and its application for thallium (I) removal

Yan Cao et al.

Summary: In this study, a nanocomposite of functionalized layered double hydroxide/metal-organic framework (LDH/MOF) with bimodal micro-mesoporous architecture was successfully prepared for efficient removal of thallium ions from aqueous environments. The synthesized LDH/MOF NC exhibited endothermic and spontaneous adsorption behavior towards thallium, with a physicochemical adsorption nature involving an enhancement of randomness at the solid/liquid interface with increasing temperature. Additionally, regeneration studies demonstrated acceptable reusability of the LDH/MOF NC particles in four cycles.

A ZnO@CuO core-shell heterojunction photoanode modified with ZnFe-LDH for efficient and stable photoelectrochemical performance

Jianhua Han et al.

Summary: The novel ZnO@CuO core-shell heterojunction photoanode modified with ZnFe-LDH cocatalyst showed enhanced light harvesting, charge separation, and surface oxidation reactions, resulting in a significantly higher photocurrent density compared to the pristine ZnO photoanode. This demonstrates the potential of using core-shell nanorod arrays coupled with ZnFe-LDH as effective and low-cost photoelectrodes.
