Palliative treatment with high-dose-rate endobronchial interventional radiotherapy (Brachytherapy) for lung cancer patients

Summary: This study retrospectively reviewed the use of HDR-EBIRT in 347 lung cancer patients, showing that most patients experienced complete or major alleviation of symptoms within 3 months post-treatment. The 1-year and 2-year overall survival rates were 55.2% and 18.3% respectively, with patients achieving complete or major response demonstrating longer median survival.
