Strong priming of soil organic matter induced by frequent input of labile carbon

Jie Zhou et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of different frequencies of labile carbon inputs on CO2 production and SOM priming by adding C-14-labeled glucose to soil. The results showed that frequent labile carbon inputs led to larger priming loss of SOM and stimulated a shift in fungal community structure and functions.
