Homologous MXene-Derived Electrodes for Potassium-Ion Full Batteries

Lanju Sun et al.

Summary: The development of potassium-ion battery (PIB) electrode materials is crucial for next-generation energy storage systems. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have potential as electrode materials, but their performance in PIBs is not satisfactory. MXene-derived MOF nodes (NMD-MOF) are unlocked and used as anodes in PIB, leading to substantially increased capacity and excellent performance. Furthermore, combining NMD-MOF anode with MXene-derived K+-intercalated vanadium oxide (MD-KVO) cathode enables the assembly of a PIB with high capacity and energy/power density.
