Hierarchical mesoporous zinc oxide microspheres for ethanol gas sensor

Bin Jiang et al.

Summary: The increasing demand for hazardous gas detections has led to the development of mesoporous materials for gas sensors. This study successfully synthesized mesoporous structures for semiconductor oxides using a universal method. The gas sensing response to ethanol can be regulated by adjusting the morphology and thickness of the mesoporous nanosheets. Furthermore, the method shows excellent repeatability and can be applied to various oxide materials.
