Minimum-time velocity profile planning for planar motion considering velocity, acceleration and jerk constraints

Martina Benko Loknar et al.

Summary: This paper presents a computationally efficient velocity profile planning algorithm for wheeled mobile robots in planar motion. The algorithm introduces turning points and ensures compliance with velocity and acceleration constraints. It also modifies the existing velocity profile to satisfy jerk constraints. The proposed algorithm offers a two-step approach and consistent full jerk treatment, and has been compared with a state-of-the-art method, showing low computational burden.
