Wrist-wearable bioelectrical impedance analyzer with miniature electrodes for daily obesity management

Myoung Hoon Jung et al.

Summary: BIA is a method for analyzing human body composition by applying a small current and measuring impedance. A new method for compensating contact resistance was proposed, allowing for accurate estimation of body impedance even with smaller electrodes. Clinical testing with a wrist-wearable BIA device showed improved performance compared to commercial body fat analyzers, offering potential for obesity management.
