Ultra-fast Cu-based A3-coupling catalysts: faceted Cu2O microcrystals as efficient catalyst-delivery systems in batch and flow conditions

Summary: This study investigates the synthesis of propargylamine using Cu(I) catalysts under solvent-free and low loading conditions. The catalytic activity of well-defined Cu2O microcrystals with different structures is also compared. It is found that ultra-low loading conditions with Cu(I) salts as catalysts can achieve high turnover frequencies. In situ generation of low dose Cu(I) ions enables excellent catalytic activities within minutes and multiple recycling in a flow reactor.

Summary: In this paper, a nanocatalyst (Fe3O4@SiO2@DNHCS-Tr@CuI) containing PAMAM dendrimer and trypsin enzyme supported on magnetic nanosilica with immobilized CuI NPs was prepared. The nanocatalyst was characterized using various techniques and showed highly efficient catalytic activity for the synthesis of propargylamines in green conditions, with high yields, short reaction times and easy separation and recovery of the catalyst for further use.

Quinolinium modified β-cyclodextrin: An ionic ligand towards sustainable A3-coupling and tandem cyclisation reactions of aldehydes, amines and alkynes

Summary: The synthesized Cu(I)@Qun-beta-CD showed efficient catalytic activity in promoting A(3)-coupling reaction of various aldehydes, amines, and terminal alkynes in acetonitrile medium. The prepared Qun-beta-CD (C) alone exhibited excellent catalytic efficiency in an intramolecular tandem cyclisation reaction in an aqueous medium. The catalyst has the advantages of a three-component reaction, environmental friendliness, easy separation, good yields, avoidance of organic solvents, and reuse for multiple cycles.

DABCO-based ionic liquid-modified magnetic nanoparticles supported gold as an efficient catalyst for A3 coupling reaction in water

Summary: In this work, a new heterogeneous catalyst Fe3O4@DT-Au was developed for A(3)-coupling reaction. The catalyst was characterized using different techniques. The catalyst efficiently promoted the three-component reaction of amines, aldehydes, and alkynes in water at low concentration. The catalyst could be easily recovered and reused with a small decrease in activity after multiple cycles.

Polymeric nanoassembly of imine functionalized magnetite for loading copper salts to catalyze Henry and A3-coupling reactions

Summary: Poly(ethylenimine) was grafted onto magnetite nanoparticles to form Fe3O4-Imine NPs, which were effective in hosting copper salts for homogeneous catalysis with stability for recycling. The physical and chemical structures of Fe3O4-Imine NPs were confirmed by FTIR, CHNS, FESEM, and HRTEM analysis, showing corn-like assemblies with superparamagnetic properties. The Fe3O4-Imine NPs exhibited better catalytic activity in various reactions compared to Fe3O4-PEI, demonstrating potential for efficient and recyclable catalysis.
