The long-run association shows that economic growth in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka is not sustainable, while Nepal is achieving economic growth with reducing CO2 emissions. Institutional quality plays an important role in achieving cleaner production in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, while population growth is lowering CO2 emissions in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Renewable energy is helping to lower environmental pollution in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
