Electronic energy loss assessment in theoretical modeling of primary radiation damage in tungsten

Fan Cheng et al.

Summary: The reliable electronic energy loss needs to be considered in order to accurately estimate primary radiation damage of materials. By introducing different electronic stopping cross-sections, the effects on primary radiation damage in tungsten under high-energy self-ion and low-energy neutron irradiation were evaluated. The simulations results using S-e calculated by TDDFT are consistent with experimental damage peaks and molecular dynamics simulations, indicating relative accuracy in estimating primary radiation damage.

Radiation damage effects on zinc oxide (ZnO) based semiconductor devices- a review

Rosfayanti Rasmidi et al.

Summary: This paper provides a thorough review of the radiation effects on ZnO semiconductor devices, revealing changes in morphology, structure, optical and electrical parameters due to radiation exposure. The increase in ideality factor post-irradiation is attributed to recombination centers in the space charge region, indicating extrinsic recombination mechanisms involving lattice imperfections.
