T Cell Immune Profiles of Blood and Tumor in Dogs Diagnosed With Malignant Melanoma

Ellen E. Sparger et al.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate T cell immunophenotypes in canine melanoma patients, identifying specific T cell phenotypes that distinguish patients from healthy controls. Different patient phenotypic responses to IFN-gamma stimulation were observed, and principal component analysis revealed distinct patient clusters based on metastasis status at diagnosis.

Ki-67 assessment-agreeability between immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry in canine lymphoma

Antonella Rigillo et al.

Summary: Recent literature suggests that a combination of flow cytometric determination of Ki-67 and immunophenotype is a reliable tool for classifying canine lymphomas. This study aimed to investigate the agreement between immunohistochemistry (IHC) and flow cytometry (FCM) in assessing Ki-67 expression/index in canine lymphoma, showing moderate correlation between the two methods with discrepancies observed in some cases. Further studies are needed to explore the phenomenon of sampling bias in Ki-67 assessment.
