The PRIDE database resources in 2022: a hub for mass spectrometry-based proteomics evidences

Yasset Perez-Riverol et al.

Summary: PRIDE is the largest data repository of mass spectrometry-based proteomics data in the world, with around 500 datasets submitted per month. In addition to continuous improvements in data pipelines and infrastructure, PRIDE has developed the Spectra Archive and MAGE-TAB file format to enhance sample metadata annotation and access to mass spectra.

Transcriptomic Analysis in Human Macrophages Infected with Therapeutic Failure Clinical Isolates of Leishmania infantum

Ana Perea-Martinez et al.

Summary: Leishmaniasis is a neglected tropical disease that affects humans and animals worldwide. Current chemotherapy treatments for this disease often lead to drug resistance and therapeutic failure. This study evaluated the transcriptomic changes in host cells infected with different clinical Leishmania infantum isolates from patients with therapeutic failure. The results showed that these isolates modulate the host cell response and induce phenotypic changes that may contribute to parasite survival and therapeutic failure.

Autophagy: A Key Regulator of Homeostasis and Disease: An Overview of Molecular Mechanisms and Modulators

Laura Gomez-Virgilio et al.

Summary: Autophagy is a fundamental cellular process that plays a critical role in maintaining cell homeostasis. It functions as a survival mechanism under stress conditions, providing metabolic precursors to support cell function. Autophagy is essential for maintaining neuronal homeostasis, differentiation, and development, and dysregulation of this process is implicated in various human diseases.
