Aftab Ahmad et al.

Summary: This study discusses the influence of non-Fourier heat flux on the 2D Darcy-Forchheimer flow of the modified Eyring-Powell model. The thermal conductivity of the model depends on temperature and porosity variables, and the effects of Cattaneo-Christov heat-mass flux are also considered. The resulting ordinary differential equations (ODEs) are solved numerically, and the graphical results show the behavior of various physical parameters. The findings indicate that the temperature gradient decreases with increasing Prandtl number, while the concentration profile decreases for higher Lewis numbers.

Hybrid Nanofluid Heat and Mass Transfer Characteristics Over a Stretching/Shrinking Sheet with Slip Effects

P. Sudarsana Reddy et al.

Summary: This study analyzes the unsteady magneto-hydrodynamic heat and mass transfer of hybrid nanoliquid flow over a stretching/shrinking surface with chemical reaction, suction, slip effects, and thermal radiation. The combination of Alumina (Al2O3) and Titanium Oxide (TiO2) nanoparticles is considered as hybrid nanoparticles, with water as the base fluid. Using the similarity transformation method, the governing equations are transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations and numerically solved using the finite element method. The results show that the temperature of the hybrid nanoliquid increases in both unsteady and steady cases as the volume fraction of both nanoparticles rises, and the non-dimensional rates of heat transfer, mass transfer, and velocity are analyzed.

Peristaltic heat transport analysis of carbon nanotubes in a flexible duct due to metachronal waves of cilia

Summary: This study investigates the natural convection peristaltic transport of creeping viscous nanofluid flow in an axisymmetric flexible circular duct within the cilia walls. Moreover, the impact of radially varying magnetic field, internal heating and thermal radiation impact is also taken into consideration. The findings show that an increase in the heat source parameter and solid volume fraction of nanoparticles effectively increases the fluid temperature. Streamline illustrations demonstrate that an increase in the Grashof number inflates the size of the flow. Additionally, the temperature profile decreases significantly with an increase in the radiation parameter.

Effect of inclined magnetic field on flow of Williamson nanofluid over an exponentially stretching surface in Darcy-Forchheimer model

Summary: The present study investigates the effects of heat and mass transfer on the magnetohydrodynamics boundary layer flow of a pseudo-plastic nanofluid. The study takes into account the presence of an exponentially stretching sheet embedded in a porous medium, as well as the influences of Brownian motion and thermophoresis on heat transfer and nanoparticle concentration. The results show that the aligned angle elongation leads to a decrease in fluid velocity, while temperature and concentration profiles exhibit a switching pattern. Additionally, increasing values of Brownian motion, thermophoresis parameter, and Lewis number result in higher temperature and concentration profiles, except for the concentration profiles of Brownian motion and Lewis number, which show an opposite trend.

Manik Das et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of Hall current and radiation absorption on magnetohydrodynamic tangent hyperbolic nanofluid flow over a stretching sheet considering binary chemical reaction with activation energy and heat source. Numerical simulations are conducted to solve the nonlinear set of ordinary differential equations, and the results are validated through a data comparison. The flow, as well as heat and mass transfer characteristics, are graphically presented to show the impacts of various flow factors. It is found that the Hall current parameter accelerates fluid flow, the thermophoresis parameter and activation energy enhance the concentration profile, and the Biot number and radiation absorption parameter increase heat transfer rate. This research has practical applications in various fields.

MHD Casson nanofluid flow over a stretching surface with melting heat transfer condition

Tirumala Prasanna Kumar et al.

Summary: This study discusses the thermal characteristics of non-Newtonian fluid flow over a stretching surface with a melting heat transfer effect. Casson's rheological model is used to explain the flow characteristics of non-Newtonian fluids. The boundary value problem, consisting of momentum, energy, and concentration equations, is transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations and solved using the shooting method. Detailed analysis of important engineering quantities such as skin friction and Nusselt number is performed for both the non-Newtonian (Casson) model and the Newtonian model. Some of the key findings include the fact that the melting parameter increases velocity and decreases temperature, while thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters increase temperature profiles.

Oblique stagnation point flow of micropolar nanofluid impinge along a vertical surface via modified Chebyshev collocation method

Rizwan Ul Haq et al.

Summary: This article presents a study on mixed convection in the presence of a magnetic field near an oblique stagnation point in micropolar nanofluid. Similarity transformations are used to convert the governing partial differential equations into non-linear ordinary differential equations, which are then solved using the modified Chebyshev collocation method. The accuracy of the method is demonstrated by comparing the numerical results with those obtained using the finite difference method. The study provides graphical results for velocity components, microrotation, temperature, and flow patterns, and calculates numerical values for various parameters such as the free parameter, skin friction, and Nusselt numbers. The findings reveal that the microrotation profiles are influenced by the stretching effect and the angle of strike, while the temperature of the micropolar nanofluid is affected by the magnetic parameter and micropolar coefficient. The temperature gradient of the nanofluid decreases with increasing values of the stretching parameter and the angle of strike.

Mixed convection flow of an electrically conducting viscoelastic fluid past a vertical nonlinearly stretching sheet

Ahmad Banji Jafar et al.

Summary: In this paper, the hydromagnetic mixed convection flow of viscoelastic fluid caused by a vertical stretched surface is studied. Numerical simulations and graphical portrayals are conducted to investigate the influence and characteristic behaviors of physical parameters on the velocity field and temperature distributions. The results show that the applied magnetic parameter improves the temperature distribution of the viscoelastic fluid and reduces the temperature gradient at the border. The temperature distribution and thermal layer are improved due to radiative and viscous dissipation characteristics. Additionally, higher velocities are observed in the viscoelastic fluid compared to the Newtonian fluid.
