The generalized uncertainty principle effect in acoustic black holes

M. A. Anacleto et al.

Summary: We obtain an effective acoustic metric with quantum corrections provided by the generalized Heisenberg uncertainty principle (GUP) in the Abelian Higgs model. The modified metric depends on scalar and vector potentials, and leads to logarithmic corrections to the entropy of the black hole. Additionally, the dispersion relations of the model are investigated to establish the relationships among the deviations of the group velocity, frequency, and temperature due to the GUP.

The ringing of quantum corrected Schwarzschild black hole with GUP

Yujia Xing et al.

Summary: This study analyzes the effect of quantum corrections on the potential function and quasinormal mode (QNM) of Schwarzschild black holes. The correction terms can alter the singularity structure of the black hole gauge and discretize time and space. Numerical analysis reveals that the effective potential and QNM are greater in scalar fields compared to electromagnetic fields.

Quasinormal modes and shadow of a Schwarzschild black hole with GUP

M. A. Anacleto et al.

Summary: This study investigates quantum corrections to the Schwarzschild black hole metric using the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) and explores its effects on quasinormal modes, shadow, and their relationship in the eikonal limit. The research utilizes the sixth-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation to calculate quasinormal frequencies and confirms the results through numerical analysis. Interestingly, the shadow radius is found to be nonzero even at very small mass limits for finite GUP parameter.

Deformed algebra and the effective dynamics of the interior of black holes

Pasquale Bosso et al.

Summary: This study investigates the classical Hamiltonian of the interior of the Schwarzschild black hole in the Ashtekar-Barbero connection formalism and deforms the classical canonical algebra inspired by generalized uncertainty principle models. The deformation leads to the resolution of the singularity of the black hole and a minimum nonzero radius for the infalling two-spheres, with negative deformation parameters chosen.

Effective GUP-modified Raychaudhuri equation and black hole singularity: four models

Keagan Blanchette et al.

Summary: The study investigates the generic corrections to the Raychaudhuri equation inside a Schwarzschild black hole due to modifications inspired by generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) theories. It shows that two specific models of GUP lead to finite Kretchmann scalar, expansion, and its rate, resolving the singularity issue.
