A Projection-Domain Low-Count Quantitative SPECT Method for α-Particle-Emitting Radiopharmaceutical Therapy

Zekun Li et al.

Summary: Single-photon emission-computed tomography (SPECT) is challenging for estimating regional isotope uptake in alpha-particle-emitting radiopharmaceutical therapies (alpha-RPTs) due to complex emission spectra, low detected counts, stray-radiation-related noise, and image-degrading processes. To address this, a low-count quantitative SPECT (LC-QSPECT) method was developed, which directly estimates activity uptake from projection data, compensates for noise, and considers radioisotope and SPECT physics. The LC-QSPECT method outperformed traditional reconstruction and post-reconstruction compensation methods, providing reliable quantification for alpha-RPT SPECT.

DiCyc: GAN-based deformation invariant cross-domain information fusion for medical image synthesis

Chengjia Wang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a deformation invariant Cycle consistency model that filters out domain-specific deformations, achieving better alignment between synthesized images and source domain data. Experimental results demonstrate that this method achieves superior alignment between source and target data while maintaining high image quality compared to several state-of-the-art CycleGAN-based methods.
