Use of Photodynamic Therapy Associated with Antimicrobial Peptides for Bacterial Control: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Summary: This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the antimicrobial effectiveness of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) associated with antimicrobial peptides (AMP). The results showed that the combined treatment with aPDT and AMP had better outcomes in controlling microbial load compared to aPDT alone.
