Community structure and insecticide resistance of malaria vectors in northern-central Myanmar

Daibin Zhong et al.

Summary: This study provides updated information about malaria vector species composition and insecticide resistance status in northern Myanmar. Confirmed resistance to deltamethrin was found in multiple species groups, posing a significant threat to malaria vector control. Continual monitoring of insecticide resistance is necessary for effective vector control.

Genetic polymorphism of circumsporozoite protein of Plasmodium falciparum among Chinese migrant workers returning from Africa to Henan Province

Zhi-quan He et al.

Summary: This study investigated the genetic polymorphism of PfCSP in Chinese migrant workers returning from Africa to Henan Province. The results showed that the N-terminus of PfCSP was relatively conserved, while the central repeat region and the Th2R and Th3R regions of the C-terminus were highly polymorphic.

A survey of insecticide resistance-conferring mutations in multiple targets in Anopheles sinensis populations across Sichuan, China

Weiping Qian et al.

Summary: Resistance-related mutations in three target proteins of Anopheles sinensis in Sichuan province were found to be prevalent, indicating diversity in resistance genotypes. The data emphasize the need for regular monitoring of insecticide resistance and the establishment of region-customized vector intervention strategies.
