Highly Regio- and Enantioselective Hydrosilylation of gem-Difluoroalkenes by Nickel Catalysis

Dachang Bai et al.

Summary: Here, we have developed an efficient method for the direct generation of difluoromethylated stereocenters through Ale-catalyzed regio- and enantioselective hydrosilylation of gem-difluoroalkenes. This method features readily available starting materials and commercial chiral catalysis, is applicable to a wide range of functional groups, and provides high yield and excellent enantioselectivity.

Cobalt-Catalyzed Sequential Site- and Stereoselective Hydrosilylation of 1,3-and 1,4-Enynes

Wenxin Lu et al.

Summary: This study presents the catalytic sequential hydrosilylation of 1,3-enynes and 1,4-enynes promoted by cobalt complexes derived from bisphosphines. The reactions resulted in the formation of enantioenriched cyclic alkenylsilanes with simultaneous construction of a carbon-stereogenic center and a silicon-stereogenic center. The functionalization of these chiral silanes provides access to a variety of difficult-to-access chiral building blocks.

Copper-Catalyzed Highly Selective Hydrosilylation of Silyl or Boryl Alkene: A Method for Preparing Chiral Geminated Disilyl and Borylsilyl Reagents

Min Zhang et al.

Summary: The copper-catalyzed hydrosilylation reaction of silyl orboryl alkene has been successfully developed, enabling the practical synthesis of chiral geminated disilyl and borylsilyl reagents. These reagents are versatile organosilanes that can be used in various organic synthesis reactions. Experimental results have demonstrated the compatibility of this reaction with a wide range of functional groups, and the utility of the gem-dimetal compounds prepared through this chemistry has been well illustrated through further transformations.

Remote Stereocenter through Amide-Directed, Rhodium-Catalyzed Enantioselective Hydroboration of Unactivated Internal Alkenes

Wei Zhao et al.

Summary: This study presents an amide-directed, rhodium-catalyzed highly diastereo- and enantioselective hydroboration reaction which provides a facile access to enantioenriched amines containing beta,gamma-vicinal stereocenters. Computational studies indicate that migratory insertion of the alkene into rhodium hydride controls the enantioselectivity.
