Summary: The generalized projective Riccati equations method (GPREM) is successfully applied to obtain the soliton solutions of the local M-fractional longitudinal wave equation (LWE) with dispersion caused by the transverse Poisson's effect in a magneto-electro-elastic circular rod (MEECR). By applying a wave transformation, the local M-fractional LWE can be transformed into a set of algebraic equations, and solving this equation system leads to the soliton solutions. The obtained solutions and their graphical simulations provide valuable insights for researchers in interpreting the physical implications of this equation and serve as a platform for further investigation of the local M-fractional LWE.
