Dye-sensitized solar cell using nickel sulfide-reduced graphene oxide counter electrode: Effect of sulphur content

S. A. Salleh et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of thiourea concentration on the properties of nickel sulphide-reduced graphene oxide and its performance as a counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells. The findings show that the sample prepared with 1.20 M thiourea exhibits the highest power conversion efficiency, making it a potential substitute for platinum in DSSCs.

Effect of annealing temperature on the performance of dye-sensitized solar cell using nickel sulphide-reduced graphene oxide cathode

S. A. Salleh et al.

Summary: In this study, NiS-rGO was used as a cathode in DSSC and the effect of annealing temperature on its properties and device performance was investigated. The device annealed at 380 degrees Celsius showed the best power conversion efficiency and highest open circuit voltage, due to its lowest sheet resistance. This work suggests that NiS-rGO has the potential to replace platinum as a cathode material in DSSC.
